Statistics and Facts
The Engineering and Operations Department is responsible for:
- Maintaining 30.6 km of dykes, including 8 storm water pump stations
- Maintaining 153 km of roads, including 31 traffic signals and 12 major bridges
- Maintaining 169 km of water mains, including 851 hydrants and 503 water meters
- Maintaining 171 km of sewer mains including 23 sanitary pump stations
- Providing full refuse, recycling and green waste pickup to 12,500 residential units
