Finance Division

The Finance Division manages municipal funds and investments, produces annual financial statements, leads the annual process of preparing the financial plan and performs all financial services within the City. The division is also responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing and tax collections, and for securing all goods and services required by the City.

The Finance Division includes the following sections:

Financial Services
Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing and tax collections, annual and quarterly financial reporting, managing the City's investment portfolio, and banking services. Also responsible for preparing the annual five-year financial plan and  providing timely and accurate financial information to facilitate the decision-making needs of Council, senior management, and external stakeholders.

Purchasing & Risk Management
Responsible for securing, through generally accepted public and professional purchasing practices, all goods and services required by the City. The basic objective of the City's risk management program is to ensure that the financial stability of the City of Port Coquitlam is protected against the effects of accidental loss.
