Development Services

The Development Services Department provides services designed to shape future development by ensuring orderly and safe growth within the City. The Department is comprised of two divisions: the Building Division and the Planning Division. This website is intended to serve as a useful guide to City residents and applicants with convenient and comprehensive information. Division staff also welcomes face-to-face meetings to further communicate the Department’s goals and efficient service.

All Building and Plumbing Inspectors are available for phone calls and to answer questions at the Building Department counter from 8:30 am to 9:30 am and in the afternoons from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm Monday to Friday.  For inspection request please call 604-927-5445. All inspections requests received prior to 3:00 pm will be schedule for the next business day.
