7:30-9:30 am - Torch Run Relay at Leigh Square: Help Paint the Town Red with your red attire and enjoy a pancake breakfast and entertainment as the Torch Relay comes through Port Coquitlam. Click here to view the torch relay map.

6-8 pm - Spirit Week Kick off at Leigh Square: Show your spirit and join in the fun, including a Community Dinner, more entertainment including Fire Dancers, and the screened replay of the Torch Relay.
Friday, February 12
10:15 pm-12 am - Gold Medal Youth Skate (13-18 years) at PoCo Rec Complex: Share in the spirit of 2010 with on-ice activities, music and a chance to win Gold! FREE admission, rentals extra.
Saturday, February 13
9-10:30 am - Pancake Breakfast at Wilson Centre: Enjoy a yummy breakfast at a great price ($2) before heading over to the Terry Fox Library for storytime.
10:30 am - Storytime with Mr. I at Terry Fox Library: Join musician Mr. I and the Rainbow Singers to get you in the mood for the 2010 Winter Games. FREE
3:15-4:45 pm and 7:15-8:45pm - Family Spirit Skates at Port Coquitlam Rec Complex: Join in the fun on ice and show your spirit by wearing red. FREE admission, rentals extraHockey Night in Poco – Port Coquitlam Rec Complex: The evening starts with games by PoCo Minor hockey teams 5-7pm, followed by the coaches’ games from 7-9pm. FREE
10-11 pm - Youth Late Night Swim (13-18 years) at Hyde Creek Rec Centre: Jump in with both feet and share the spirit, while splashing to the music. FREE
Sunday, February 14
12-3 pm - Hyde Creek Education Centre Open House: Hosted in partnership with the Hyde Creek Watershed Society. Come for the unveiling of new signage and enjoy the wonders of the water with the beautiful salmon at our hatchery, just up the road from Hyde Creek Recreation Centre (3636 Coast Meridian Road). FREE
1-3pm - Family Swim - Show us the Spirit! – at Hyde Creek Recreation Centre: Experience our version of the Winter Games all wet: including the timed luge event on the waterslide; aerial jumps; bobsledding down the river run; and cross-country skiing through the pool! The gym is full of sports and activities to get the blood pumping! FREE
12:45-4pm - Valentines Skate at Port Coquitlam Rec Complex: Dress in red and celebrate your spirit with you special someone. FREE admission, rentals extra
1:30 pm - Sunday Coffee Concert Series at Terry Fox Theatre: Enjoy this special Chinese New Year celebration with Silk Road Music Ensemble and guest artists. Begin the Year of the Tiger with spectacular singing, dancing and music that combines traditional and contemporary sounds. Listen to Chinese instruments played with world percussion; sing a Chinese folk song in English; tap an Irish beat to a Japanese taiko drum and more. Come and join this award winning group and share the New Year with all cultures in the community! Suggested donation $10 per adult/$5 student/children under 12 are free. 7-9 pm - Celebration of Port Coquitlam’s Rising Stars & Sport Reimagined Art Exhibit Opening at the Gathering Place, Leigh Square: An official gathering to celebrate the artistic and athletic achievements of local residents, and a chance to meet Port Coquitlam’s former Olympians. 9-11 pm - Much Music Ice Dance at Port Coquitlam Rec Complex: FREE tickets to the first ever ‘Ice Dance’ will be available in advance at all Parks and Rec facilities. Donations for Share Food bank and Kidsport will be accepted at the door.
Saturday, February 20
6:30 pm - A Taste of PoCo Spirit at the Gathering Place: Presented in partnership with the Port Coquitlam Heritage and Cultural Society. Join local sommelier John Gerum for a spirit filled wine tasting evening. Countries represented include: Canada (BC), Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain and Chile. Four wines from each country will be sampled and enjoyed and matched with gourmet cheeses and light snacks. A sports-themed sculpture and three-dimensional art exhibit will be displayed throughout the tasting area. Each participant will receive a souvenir wine glass. Tickets are available for $40 per person and a limited number of only 130 tickets are are available for this event.Purchase tickets in advance (as of Jan. 16) at the Outlet at Leigh Square (on McAllister Avenue behind City Hall).
