Mayor's Report Card  Community: PoCo Pride - Report Card Community Safety - Report Card Economy - Report Card Environment - Report Card Transportation - Report Card | Community Engagement The inclusion of more voices in civic affairs helps to ensure that Council is both responsive and accountable to the community’s input and priorities. I am committed to finding new and better ways to establish a meaningful dialogue with our taxpayers on issues that affect them – issues such as the taxes they pay and the services we provide. For example, citizen advisors were added to almost all of our Council’s standing committees at the beginning of this Council’s term. We’re also making greater use of web-based tools, such as online surveys, social networking websites and blogs, as well as bringing back town hall meetings, where we will come together as a community to discuss what’s important to us...(continue reading) |
