    What Every Potential Purchaser or Developer Should Know
    What is the Zoning and Official Community Plan (OCP) land-use designation for the property?
    Zoning Bylaw No.2240provides the current regulations on the use, density and building dimensions permitted on your property. The Official Community Plandesignation provides future direction on how properties could be rezoned and developed subject to the support of Council.     Is the property near a watercourse such as a creek or river?

    Is the property located on a steep slope?
    If the property is located on a steep slope or unstable soils, you may be required to undertake a geotechnical assessment before constructing an addition or building a new structure. Contact the Development Services Department at 604.927.5442 or

    You may require a tree removal permit. Failure to comply to tree removal regulations may result in fines. For more information, please refer to
