Biography
Elected at age 23 and the City’s youngest-ever City Councillor, Brad West is widely known in Port Coquitlam as a volunteer for the such varied causes as the May Day Task Force, Polonez Tri-City Polish Association, Downtown Car Show and Our Lady of Assumption Parish.

What people might not know about Brad is that it was his passion for classic cars that led him to help organize the car show for the past two years; that he has an interest in genealogy and is of Polish and Irish heritage; or that he received a diploma in Catholic ministry from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Victoria. He is also currently the youngest elected official in B.C. and has served as an aide to a provincial MLA.

The life-long PoCo resident enjoys running and walking on the Traboulay PoCo Trail, as well as playing golf, squash, hockey and competitive league tennis. On a sunny day, he might also be found on his motorcycle cruising out to Harrison with his fiancée and high-school sweetheart Ulla. Brad also volunteers as area rep for the B.C. Coalition of Motorists and assists the group with events, safety issues and legislation.
